Adventure level The Maze region of Canyonlands National Park is the among the most remote regions of wilderness left in America. On this expedition you are hours from civilization. You access the region through challenging four-wheel drive roads. There is unparalleled solitude and peace while you explore archeological sites. Some 4 wheel drive roads are perilous and packed with excitement. There are full days of hiking with significant descents and ascents, although your guide will help tailor the expedition to your tastes. Four days on foot or in four wheel drive vehicle and three nights camping in the very heart of the wild makes this expedition more difficult than some.

Fitness Level: Healthy, able to walk moderate up and down terrain. Walks are anywhere from a half mile to eight miles. Half of the expedition is by 4X4 on rugged access roads. Half of the time is spent walking in the backcountry of Canyonlands National Park.
