Hells Revenge Jeep & Colorado River Raft 1 Day – (HRJRAF)

Adventure Description

Looking for a TRUE Moab 4-wheeling adventure? How about a taste of the thrill that is Colorado River rafting? This is the perfect way to get your feet wet. The Hells Revenge trail is a roller-coaster ride in the middle of some of the most spectacular red rock vistas around. On the river you’ll ride through four moderate to small rapids, class I-II. Not too challenging, but just enough to have you begging for more!

Adventure Level

Folks with very little time but any fitness level can join this expedition. Half the day you will experience the roller-coaster ride of Slickrock 4-wheeling. The other half laughing and splashing down the famed Colorado River. Due to the nature of this tour, we do not recommend it for children under the age of 6 or people with heart conditions, anxiety, or vertigo. Perfect for families or first-timers!

Itinerary

Your expedition begins at the Tag-A-Long office where you board the Jeeps and we drive south of Moab to the Sand Flats road. Here we turn off onto the Hells Revenge trail. Feel your heart race as we scale tall fins of rock, seemingly endlessly climbing up into the sky before finally peaking to astonishing 360° views. Then the hair-raising descent back down the other side! Ready to do it again? Great! We travel over more fins, through gullies, and on cliff edges guaranteed to give you a thrill! Don’t forget your cameras – the photos are amazing.

About half way through we reach the edge of the cliff overlooking the Colorado River. Arches National Park is just on the other side of the river. Turn around and you can see the La Sal Mountains right behind you. Now, you are truly on top of the world!

Arriving back in Moab at 11:45 AM we will meet the bus that takes us to the rafts on the Colorado River.  The afternoon will be on splashy rapids and beautiful calm sections of the river. At the rafts, we will have a short safety orientation and then we will continue down river to a location where the guides will prepare lunch.

After lunch we will continue to raft the Colorado River through Professor Valley.  Your guide will share the history of that area and point out interests during your river travel.  You will have time for swimming.
