The Big Picture

The Klondike Bluffs are in the outlands of Arches National Park north of Moab, Utah. The Klondikes' envelope Tower Arch. On this trip you are the adventurer, you decidedly reap the reward of an interpretive trip of Arches, mixed with a 4 wheeling experience of this place. Tower Arch is the sentry of the trailhead if you choose to hike by the Marching Men and meet your guide and our 4x4 vehicle after this fine walk. There are no technical climbs or skills required. The hiking is 1.7 miles long at Tower Arch and in Devil's Garden the hiking is 1.6 miles to the longest natural arch span in the world at Landscape Arch. The Details

You begin at the Tag-A-Long’s Moab office in the morning at 7:15 a.m. for an 7:30 A.m. departure. Wear comfortable hiking shoes. With your friendly, competent guide, you’ll board the 4 wheeling Ford vehicle and travel across the Colorado River to Arches National Park. We access the three major icons - Balanced Rock, Delicate Arch and Landscape Arch - along the pavement. We exit Arches National Park by way of Salt Valley. Entering the Klondike region is technical 4 wheeling. If the weather is suitable you can hike cross-country and forego this rolicksome  4x4 route coming back. If the day allows we stop also to take in dinosaur evidence during our return to Moab along Hwy 191. You’ll want a day pack for your camera and water bottle. We return around 4:30 p.m.
